Obligations to provide information according to Section 18 of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act

As the owner of old appliances, you are obliged to dispose of them separately from unsorted municipal waste.
You must separate used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed in the old appliances from such old appliances before handing them in at a collection point. Sentence 2 shall not apply insofar as old appliances are separated in accordance with Section 14 (5) sentences 2 and 3 in order to prepare them for re-use.




Return of old appliances
If you purchase a new electrical or electronic appliance in our online shop at www.reflecta.de, you can return an old appliance of the same type that essentially fulfils the same functions as the new appliance to us, reflecta GmbH, Merkurstrasse 8, 72184 Eutingen.
Old appliances that are not larger than 25 centimetres in any external dimension can be returned to us, reflecta GmbH, Merkurstrasse 8, 72184 Eutingen, whether you buy a new appliance or not.
Our obligation to take back the old appliance applies irrespective of whether the old appliance was purchased from us or not.
Furthermore, you can use the facilities for the return or collection of old appliances set up and made available by the public waste disposal authorities to hand in your waste electrical and electronic equipment.
It may also be possible to hand in the old appliances for reuse.




Return option
If you wish to return an old appliance (old appliance of the same type and/or old appliance regardless of type) to us, you can either send it by post or hand it in personally at our premises, reflecta GmbH, Merkurstrasse 8, 72184 Eutingen.
If you choose to send the item by post, please enclose a note with the item stating that this is a return of an old appliance and send the package to
reflecta GmbH, Merkurstrasse 8, 72184 Eutingen.




Erasure of personal data
Please note that you are responsible for erasing personal data from old appliances to be disposed of.




Meaning of the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol is located on the electrical and electronic equipment and means that the electrical and electronic equipment must be disposed of separately and must not be disposed of in household waste.
