Camcorders or digital cameras are used to record unique moments for eternity. However, light often is not sufficient in the actual environment or even in a photo studio to obtain the desired quality. It is annoying if dark shadows or insufficient brightness have negative effects on the photos or films afterwards. The quality of shootings and video films can be improved decisively by using lighting aids – in particular the innovative lights by reflecta.
As a specialist with a long tradition in lights technology, reflecta from Rottenburg near Stuttgart now has expanded its already comprehensive range of modern studio and video lights by the new LED video light reflecta RPL 170. Suitable both for professionals and amateurs, it is the perfect companion in the field.
The LED video light RPL 170 by reflecta has 170 dimmable and very powerful LEDs (corresponds to 12 Watt) as light source for video and photo applications.
With its broad lighting angle of 60°, the reflecta RPL 170 provides a better surrounding light for video and photo shootings, a more intense capturing of subjects in the dark, and a constantly controlled illuminance. Its low weight of only 392 g (8 x AA batteries included) in a compact design, in combination with its long burntime of up to 140 minutes, makes the RPL 170 an ideal companion for camcorders and photo cameras on the go when shootings in weak lighting conditions are to be expected.
The RPL 170 features an adjustable tilting metal head with flash shoe, fixing screw and Sony adapter shoes to be mounted to virtually any camera/camcorder shoe. The two included transparent and yellow filters allow for colour temperatures of max. 5,800 K / min. 3,200 K. The RPL 170 can be operated with AA batteries, Li-Ion battery pack (Sony NP-F550) or via power adapter for a most versatile field of applications. The battery pack exchange is really easy.
